The Netflix documentary that’s definitely worth watching “My Heroes Were Cowboys”
My heroes were cowboys is a Netflix document that focuses on Robin Wiltshire and his childhood. Robin grew a relationship with horses all around him he started to like horses due to his painful childhood when he was around horses he felt free.
The movie was basically about Robin Wiltshire’s childhood and the horses he had, but only one name was discussed which was juniper. Robin couldn’t read or write. Juniper was robin’s third horse. Robin claimed that he saw something more, something different in the horse.
I feel like the development of the documentary could’ve been better. I don’t have a negative perspective of the movie. The movie wouldn’t be my first choice but i’ll say it was a decent movie. I liked how robin explained the title of the movie and broke it down piece by piece. I felt like it could’ve been more than one main character.
The focus of the movie was in one place and I liked how robin went from one topic to another. I didn’t like the way the movie was structured. I feel like the story could’ve had a little more excitement in the movie to grab people’s attention and to attract people into watching the movie.
My overall impression of the movie was that it was interesting to watch; it was something new. I didn’t enjoy the movie but i’ll say that the movie surprised me and it kind of changed my mind a little bit on what would be my choice of movies. If you’re interested in cowboys or horses to be specific then you should give the movie a watch. You might not have the same perspective but it’s worth watching.
